How does this strategy work?
The 12-Week Moving Average (12WMA) is a long-term trend-following indicator. It calculates the average closing price of the Nifty 50 over the last 12 weeks. The rules are simple:
- BUY SIGNAL: If the current weekly close is above the 12-week average, the market is in an uptrend. Stay fully invested in equities.
- CASH SIGNAL: If the current weekly close drops below the 12-week average, the uptrend has broken. Move to cash or safe bonds to avoid a prolonged bear market.
